Production date 1997 mountaineer

Looked on my door label, and it only says 02/1997. Supposedly I need an exact day of the month since it switched in the middle of that month. Any idea where I can find the exact date of production?

I don't know if Ford's ETIS web site will go back to 1997, but you can try it. Select "Vehicle" enter your VIN and it provides a wealth of data on your vehicle's manufacture.

If no luck with the FordEtis site, look under the drivers side hood. Exact build date stamped on "some" ST's.

If you have external egr with a tube that connects the upper intake to the passenger side exhaust manifold and you have xdt2 on your computer then you have the late 97 , what exactly are you working on?

I know the ETIS site goes back to '98 because I looked mine up, but not sure about '97

Goes back to 1997. Build date is 2/13/1997
