Alright, I've got one big problem (stupid for most) that I could use a little help on. My truck has one of those little stickers on the drivers and passenger window that says blah blah blah "Protected by xxxx Security Systems" or something like that. I can't really say why, but I kinda like them on there but the driver's side is starting to peel, rip, and bubble and that fun stuff. I was wondering if there's any way of protecting it?

I thought about trimming a piece of packing tape or clear scotch tape just slightly larger to hold it there and protect it, but I don't think tape will hold to well and I may have a lot more problems. I know 10+ years is alot for a sticker, but I'm just trying to keep what I have. I'm not sure if the window track is destroying it or what. It's really not in too bad of shape, but if I have any chance of saving it, it would probably be now.

Thanks for reading and for understanding this weird little thing. I think we're all over-obsessive about things on our truck, so I know you guys could at least understand. I appreciate any comments or ideas. If pics are needed, I could arrange that too.

clean the area real well and put on some packing tape.
Press real well, make sure there are no air bubbles.

That is the best I can come up with.

Thanks, I was thinking something along those lines too since I think there's only so much one can do. I appreciate the help.

I'm sure they sell brand new ones on e-bay, might not say the exact same thing as the stickers you have now though. Cant access e-bay from work to check though, sorry

Oh that's ok, thanks for the suggestion. I thought about that too, but all in all, it's just a sticker and I can't see myself paying a decent amount of money just for a sticker... But I appreciate the help.

Only thing I can think of is weatherproof duct tape. I'm gonna check at work tomorrow if they have it in clear though.

Check into getting a layer of clearbra over them. Decent clearbra should be resistant to the effects of UV, and should stand up to the window seals rubbing when rolling windows up or down. Your local clearbra installer might have small scraps that they might install for cheap.

I am not sure on how to install clearbra, like the adhesives or whatnot. Talk to your local installer for more info.

Warning: if you do get the clearbra, removal of it at a later time will pry harm your decals.

Also, maybe look into clear UV resistant decals.

^^^^ whoa never thought of that. I'll have to look into that possibly but after some research, since I know absolutely nothing about that stuff.

I think next week, I'll take a ride to a couple of alarm shops and see what they tell me and if there's anything to do. There's tons of things to try, but I'm only gonna have one chance and it seems kinda intimidating, lol. I'll see what the pros tell me. Maybe for a few bucks, they'll sell me a couple. Maybe not the exact same company, but whatever.

I like that alot. I did get some new stickers, although different ones from an alarm shop, but waiting till spring to put em on since I may be replacing the window, but I may look into this.
