- 2016 Ford Explorer Sport
Hello Explorer Forums,
I purchased 2016 Explorer Sport roughly 3 months ago - this is our 5th Ford vehicle, first turbocharged.
Bought the Ford ESP and have already had the water pump, timing chain, tensioner, and cam phasers replaced under warranty (thank goodness).
Regardless, I love the car and had the PTU serviced by Brian at BSG Automotive (Ford Tech Makuloco).
They found a piece of metal in the PTU when draining it. It almost reminds me of clutch fingers on the pressure plate.
The PTU seems fine and the car drives wonderfully. It has 83k miles and is a 2016.
Any thoughts?
Brian wasn’t sure where it came from…
