Puddle Lamp Mod

Has anyone tried to figure this out ?

Most of the new vehicles coming out all have turn signals
built into their outside mirrors. How about a mod for
connecting our Puddles Lamps under our mirrors to the
Turn Signal circuit ?

I would be interested in this MOD.

I can see it now. Some one will try to do this and end up not only making the puddle light flash with the turn signal......But they will also make the blinker turn on solid when the door is opened..LOL unless you are really good with components in wiring. I would laugh if I saw some one get out of a car and the blinker turned on solid when the door opened and then turned off when the door shut with the puddle light.

That might not always be a bad thing though, I've seen higher end cars whose headlights turn on when the doors are opened (cadilacs), and turn off when the door is shut. The extra bit of lighting in a dark parking lot at night shouldn't hurt.

You would have to replace the PL with a dual filiment bulb and rewire and....
Muth mirror lights are the way to go. Either the style that are "in" the mirrors or the "blind spot mirror" type.
Or maby just replace the mirrors w/the GM lighted type. That too would probably be more work & more $ than the Muth Mirrors.
