I'm from the little 4 cyl. world, so i'm on to new and better things. Anyways, i was wondering if they made any sort of Pulley's like Underdrive pulleys or adj. cam gears and stuff like that?????
Let me know!

There was a set of underdrive pullies from JET (for the OHV motor), but they were of bad quality and rarely fit correctly. And as far as I know, there are no cam or pulley mods available for the SOHC motor. There are some hi-po cams for the OHV, but they require removal of the engine to install.

I'm assuming you have the SOHC, so: basically your only performance options are intake, exhaust, chip, and diff gears. Sorry, and good luck!

Oh, and please limit your signature to 6 lines. Thanks.

alright, i'll take care of tha signature soon........but i have the OHV......so if i do find the JET pulley's i should stay away from them right? Anything else i can do for power in the OHV motor?
Thanks for tha help

Well with the OHV you have quite a few more options. Start off with an intake kit, exhaust, chip, and throttle body. That will put you over $700 already, but will give good gains. After that, you can beef the motor up with better internals, or bolt on a supercharger. Both are fairly difficult and cost $$$.

And yes, stay away from any JET products.

Why would the OHV which from what i understand has much less power than the SOHC, have more options? Thanks for the info.....any suggestions on an intake kit and throttle body? I think i'll start working on more power mods before i go to bigger rims. Thanks again!

The OHV has more mods available because it is a much older and common motor. It's easier to tune, too.

Intake: KKM $100
Exhaust: custom 2.5" catback with 2.25" tailpipe, local muffler shop, $200
Chip: superchip or diablo, $200-300
TB: BBK 66mm TB, $200

Good luck!

i'll get back to u in a few months after i get all of the above =o) question tho: The kkm intake just looks like a filter with an adapter......couldn't i just make an adapter and buy a k&N and save me about 70 bucks? Or buy one of the intakes with the chrome tubes on ebay?

yes

Cool then! Thanks again!
