What is the easiest way to pull the sub out of the panel. Am I going to have to remove the whole right rear interior panel or what?
Thanks,

If you're taking the whole assembly out, yes, you have to take the whole rear quarter panel out. If you're just taking the sub itself out, you can always pry open the grill and unscrew the four screws to the sub and voila... I've done this 7 times already because the wire from the connector to the cone kept breaking off.
When I go to pry the grill off I already broke 2 connecting tabs so I figured it was connected on the other side. Whats the easiest way to pull that grill since you have done it 7 times.
The way I did it was just to break all the tabs and then put screws in the corners to put it back on........ From what I found it dont look like they come off from the outside on our gen X's, may be diffrent on the new ones... hope that helps
Thanks alot guys. I will just pop it off and screw it back in the corners. When I have nothing better to do I will pull the whole panel and remove everything.

I said the metal grill, not the plastic around the grill. They're basically indents at the end so they're stay on the panel. If you have something flat, slide it into the top of the grill, then push down and out. once you got the top part of the metal grill out, just yank the rest out.
you need to just push the sides of the grill towards the center of the grille to give the tabs enough space to just pull out the grille..i think the tabs things are on the top, bottom and left sides...then you will need a star shape screwdriver to unscrew the 4 screws and then pull the sub out and disconnect the wires...done it many times also...i've blown 2 of em
