OKay I assume you know what you are doing, the clutch was aligned using the clutch alignment tool?
Did you remove the Y pipe? It makes things SO much easier if you just remove it.
The key to getting the input shaft through the clutch and into the pilot bearing on the flywheel is getting the trans at the correct angle to the engine.
With the Y pipe in the way it makes this very difficult.
Two people can really help when doing this.
Stabbing a manual trans takes alot of preperation and a little bit of work. Having a transmission jack helps greatly, or if you are like me you just get under the sucker, rest the back of th etrans on your knees and bench press the ***** into place before your arms give up the ghost.
As I said before the KEY iis getting the trans at the EXACT angle it needs to be to engage the engine. So moving the tail ofth etrans up and down and left to right, until the alignment dowls on the engine line up is th eonly way you will get it.
Removing the Y pipe will actually SAVE you time.
