Not at all! The Rinny's torque converter disengages at around 7mph which causes you to freewheel downhill with only those drums and a single disk to hold you back, and as you know rear brakes on a steep downhill can get rather squirley.

Which Prairie do you have? My 650 has the best engine braking of any four wheeler I've ever ridden, on a steep downhill the KEBC will actually lock the rear end up and cause it to slide unless I give it some fuel.

I wouldn't have thought that. I have the first type to come out, the '97 400. It freewheels terrible downhill. It doesa have discs...but only on the front. My dad needed the auto cause he has a bad knee. Now he wants to sell it and get one of the Honda's with Electronic Shift.
 






Go for the Lift and tires, the you wheel when ever and where ever you want.:D
