Quarter panel rot repair

So I’ve got some rot/bubbling going on, minor, above the rear wheels. I was going to grind it out and weld a new patch in, but backside access sucks. How are you boys accomplishing this?

can i ask why you need to access the back of the panel? if your worried about the rot coming back, all you really can do is hit both the patch panel and truck with weld threw primer. once its done you can shoot gravel guard or something like it down into the spot you cant reach to seal it

I’ll get a pic in a bit.

I’m used to clamping a patch from the back, and welding it in from the front…then I can fill the divot in with bondo and paint. I can weld a patch onto the outside, but then it’ll require a LOT of bondo to blend, I’d imagine.
