what's that in miles?

n what kinda maitenence should be done when i hit 100k?

Mine has 130k, no mechanical problems at all. I'd do preventative measures, change diff fluids, transmission fluid and filter, PS fluid, bleed the brakes, transfer case, a tune up, etc.

You can check the ball joints, both upper and lower, they are common wear points.

Other than that, things that need to be checked depend on how you've used your truck.

The 5.0 engine and trans are rock solid drivetrains, I don't anticipate any problems for many miles.

how much do you suppose all that is gonna cost?

n hey.. evan, get on msn

Costs depend on many things, especially what kinds of fluids you buy.

You'll need ~16 quarts of trans fluid + a filter, 3 more quarts for the T case. The rear end will take ~4 quarts of gear oil, the front will take 3 quarts. Power steering system will need 2 (I think). A big bottle of brake fluid would be all you'd need.

Lower ball joints are $40 each for Moogs, uppers are $100+ each. You may not need either, but I'd check em out for sure.

Spark plugs are about $3-$4 each, and wire sets run from $75-$125 depending on what you buy.

I rarely if ever get on MSN anymore.

I'm betting on the fuel pump.

I have a 97 with 195,000 miles on it here are the problems I have had
cat converter
brakes
driver seat belt
trans sensor

other than that nothing but rutine stuff

cat converter was changed by the lady i bought this from right before i bought it, so no worries there..
i want to get a mac intake with a custom exhaust, maybe a chip... at this point... is it a bad idea to do light mods?
