When Acclerating I get a sound like an Vacuum hose is broken, but only durning acceleration. A friend mechanic says he thinks it getting to much air in the intake.....

The Idle is also way high since this started....

One problem was Plugs were fouled so I got that fixed no problem. But the Hissing during acceleration is ... wierd.....

Let me know....

Thx.

Check your air intake tube for holes and make sure it's correctly seated on the throttle body.

Humm....

I did notice that it does have some minor holes along it due to age... in the bending seams....

Also the Air Filter Cage has an opening on the bottom that isn't fully covered by the inbound air tube.

The cage also isn't tightly secured as the factory screw is stripped out of the plastic threads.

Do you think the problem is in this area?

or might it be deeper in the injection system?

The holes in the air intake tube could certianly cause the problem. I would start by fixing the problems you are aware of, they are pretty cheap and easy to do.
