I want to tint my windows on my 98 Ex. Sport. However I just don't want the common black. I want it to fade from red to black. Anyone know where I can order the red to black tints? I want it to look like this GTO:

That looks good, it would have been nicer if he lined up the front and back windows better.

I don't think any colored tint is legal in New York.

I have never even heard of colored tint. Could be a good or bad depending on what color you use.

They also have tint with flames

actually if you go to a custom shop they can do just about any pattern you like, even an EF logo :)

According to this website, NYS law says no mirrored image and no metallic color can be used. I am guessing this is because it blocks the few of the driver. So what I am wondering is, if the red is mirrored but only comes a few inches, with the upper area black but the driver is still viewable, will the cops give me a hard time? I hope not because I really like the way this looks. It is something different. I have seen a few cars around with something similar but with chrome instead of red. I'll have to talk to the guys at the tint shop to see what I can get away with.

If you just said it's illegal, I have a feeling the cops will give you a hard time..

OTHER NEW YORK RULES AND REGULATIONS
Restricted Colors No colors of tint are explicitly banned.

I guess long as the upper area allows more that 70% light then your ok. But from that picture their is no way that 70% tint. I don't know if such a light tint would look good with the red below it.

your gonna have a ***** of a time gettin a shop to do it cause they are gonna have to buy a whole roll of that tint and they will probably never use it again so your gonna pay big money.

Yea my buddy works at a tint shop here and they have like 100page catalogs full of different tint colors and shades from plains colors to sparkles to clors I've never even heard of but its pretty cool what you can do with tint. But yea most of the small shops dont stock colored tint but you may get lucky with some of the big major shops.

Personally, not a fan of colors, and I think that cops would give you trouble. If you go for it, though, be sure to post pics!
