Question about instrument cluster swap

Hi,

Im considering swapping out the stock gauge cluster in my 98 4x4 for a white faced 02 cluster, however Ive got a couple questions. My truck is a 5spd, so naturally it doesnt have the gear indicator on the cluster; however all the 02 clusters im finding are for automatics so they have the gear idicator on the cluster. Will the cluster for the automatic work with my manual truck/could i remove the indicator from it?

why are you doing to swap them in the first place is your cluster broken or you just want a white faced gauge ? cause you could just a white one on ebay cheaper if that was the case just trying to help but no idea if the swap would work or not
