question about k&N and MAS

no it looses no coolant at all i check it often but its always at the top i will try the flashlight trick and see if i can see anything

well guys i am completely baffled it doenst burn a drop of anything it doesn't smoke at all runs flawless just for some unknown reason kills a plug in the number 4 cyl every 5 months when i pull the plugs it kinda looks fouled darker than it should be or it did this time last time it looked perfect but still didnt work i donno what to do to tell you the truth but i dont wanna take it in the shop and have them tell me something retarded like we need to rrebuild the entire top end or its gonna blow up.... lol

run a compression test on that cylinder, there have been cases where extreme carbon fouling cause detonation issues which will cause extreme plug wear. Also, have you checked the plug wire to make sure its routing is not causing it to be ground out on any of the engine parts? (like manifold or valve cover) sometimes these issues will show themselves with radio noise when you tune to an AM station with no actual reception.

do you have a good computer that you can use to run some diagnostics? or a Friend who has one that could run them for you?

Edit: oh and maybe run a compression test on that cylinder. Also if you switch plugs with another cylinder does the problem follow the plug or stay on the cylinder?

ok well first of all no i dont have a good computer to do that with :( second the compression on that cyl is perfect it was checked when i originaly started having this problem as the plug wire i dont think its grounded as this is the second set of wires the problem has remained with both unless i put it back in the same spot witch seems to be factory i will look into that to be sure but i dont think that is the problem
