When replacing the RAP module ( on a ’99 ) does the new door lock/unlock for the keypad automatically change or do I have to do anything?

Any other tips or suggestions on RAP replacement are welcomed.

Thanks in advance ….

Al,

As far as I can tell, the RAP stores the door code as well as the remote programming. You'll need to memorize the new code off the sticker on it, and reprogram the remotes, but as far as I can tell, it should be a plug-and-play situation. There's no mention in the service manual of reprogramming anything, just the physicel removal and isntallation. The RAP module only controls the keyless entry and computer-operated locks system. It doesn't appear to interface directly with the PATS system, so it shouldn't be an issue (as far as I can tell, but don't quote me on that)

Thanks, Joe, that was my understanding too; just wanted to confirm.

Thanks for your reply.
