question on hvac control

1994 Sport with a/c/y concern is when i switch the hvac controls to cold i get hot air. Same with when i turn on the a/c all i get is hot air coming from the vents. Any help would be awesome! thanks

Hello SL1 & welcome. Hope you get all your answers & offer others some help.
Is the ac unit running? If you are low on freon, the unit does not run & could mean a leak in the system (usually a rubber o-ring at a hose connection)
