Question's about 02-05 Mounty's

Hi I have a question about the rear axle's in the 02-05 Mounty's that are Awd and have the 4.6l, do the Awd Mounty's have rear limited slip or open differential? What gear ratios where used in the Mountaineer with the 4.6? My Mother drives a 03 Explorer xlt 4.0 that has the 3.73 limited slip and it has the upgraded towing package. How exactly does the Awd system work? Does the upgraded towing package for the Mountaineer come with the same equipment such as class IIV receiver and transmission cooler? I am asking these questions because I did not notice how bad the rust is on my 2002 F150 with 120,000 miles is until now , I am looking to sell the F150 and upgrade to a Awd Mounty with the 4.6, Any information is appreciated, Thanks Jarred.
