I bought an ARB for the 8.8 when they first came out with them. Nothing but problems!!! Sucked ass badly!!! Finally bought a newer model one last Oct. and I love it. Haven't broke a single thing using it yet.
My first one had some slack in it but my main problem was it was blowing itself up all the time. Literally blowing itself up!!! Under hard stupid pedal it would just "POP" and unlock itself. Went through that like 4 times before I heard ARB redesigned it. But the newer better model has worked flawlessly with no probs.
I have the new ARB, and I can't feel any backlash from it.
It really depends on how your gear guy puts it in.
I have not had any problems with my ARB so far. I love it!
I've seen them range from about $600 all the way up to $780. Then another $200 for the ARB compressor. Don't use theres though. Sucks!! Use a Power Tank compressor.
