Yes on the T screw. but the filler hose has a fitting to the low side valve with threads... U mean 'push it down onto valve till it opens valve' - then screw it on?

Did you really mean R-12? How did you buy R-12? You have to have a license to buy R-12. If you really did buy R-12, it WILL NOT work on a system designed for R-134. An R-134 system has different fittings designed only for R-134. Or, did I just wake up and miss something?

I called FORD with my VIN # - it is R12. also, the size of Shreader valve for R12 is diffnt than 123. I drove up to Canada to do this, so legally it's not an issue.
