Hello all,
I wanted to see if anyone out there has experienced a problem with the fuel line leaking on their 2003 Ford Explorer and if so, what action they have taken to fix the problem. I have an '03 Eddie Bauer edition with just over 100k miles and our local Ford dealership has just quoted me a price of $725 to replace the fuel line.

For one, I have a problem with the cost (seems very high) and the first shop I took it to said the fuel line issue has been happening to a lot of people. Is anyone aware of a recall on this fuel line or any kind of a suit against Ford for defective parts?

Thanks,
Jason S.

I moved your thread to the proper forum where it should get more attention.

well, as for the price--

I was looking at my fuel lines last night-thinking I had to get a bracket out from behind them.

Just to get the bracket removed was going to be a huge chore-
It seems the very first thing installed to the frame at the factory is the fuel lines. Everything needs to come out to get to them.

750.00 seems about right--
