Hey guys... Im a newbe, So new that I dont even own a ST... yet... I did a little searching on this subject but only found a little info. Is there any way to do a TT and retain the factory ride quality(stiffness)? Basicaly, I am looking at a 2004 ST 2wd, and I want about 5"-6" of lift to clear 33's. This is prety much just going to be my DD with the occasional desert trip. I was thinking 3" spindle and TT. How is the Ride???

Thanks

It's going to be stiff, and will likely ride harsh since you will have no down travel.

Torsion keys make it so the torsion bar can be adjusted higher or lower than the adjusting bolt allows.

The ride will still be stiff though? Is it common to just do a 3" Spindle and a 3" body?

Explorers are stiff to begin with, torsion bar suspensions don't ride well. Cranking them all the way up will just make this worse. Spindle lifts are very popular with the 2wd's. BL's are popular when you want to run big tires, but can't afford to dump a lot of $$$ into the suspension. You'll need to get shackles and an add a leaf in the rear, or go spring over axle, to level it out.
