I just resealed my beck differential using permatex the blue gasket stuff. Everything is going good but when can i add my fluid back in? Do i need to wait for the gasket to fully cure or only set? In my haynes manual it doesn't give in time frame. I just want to check so i dont screw it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I usually let it sit for 10 mins or so at least. You won't have fluid under pressure in there so letting it set should be fine. I never wait for it to cure.

I did this a few months back, I ran a solid bead all the way around the cover and around each bolt hole. Put it back on and tightened it. I let it sit for a few hours, just to make sure. I haven't noticed any leaks yet.

did you try reading the directions on the back of the tube, they all have em on there.

really though, as long as its a solid bead you cant go wrong. I let it sit for 20 min or so if its warm, longer if its cold. Just dont fall asleep and forget about it
(Almost drove away without the cover on)
