Radar detector wiring for a 02?

Anyone directly wired their radar detector using power from their sunroof in a 02? If so, what is the best way to get the cover off and tap into the wires?

On my 99, I had to run a wire up the A pillar, under the headliner to the overhead console and then to the radar detector.

I did it the same as Al cause its a ***** finding the hot wire controled by the ignition.
Just got to take of the visor and a couple of screws in the console, if its like a 98, and everything else pops off.
I fabed a mounting bracket and its always there & on.
Its in my "photo gallery".
