95 Ranger XL 4x4
Well, its been a fun 12+ years and 170,000 miles with my '95 Ranger 4x4. Surprisingly few problems and NO body rust here in Cleveland, Ohio! But I've noticed the radiator support panel is rusting away at the bottom attachment locations to the frame. The panel cost is under $100 so I'm thinking of replacing it myself. Is it a simple bolt-in job? Or, is there welding required? Any additional items needing to be purchased besides the one panel? Been soaking the bumper bolts with WD-40 for the past month in anticipation.

bolt-in or welded?

I have no welding equipment. Was wondering if its a bolt-in or a welding project. It'll determine if I do it or a shop does it or...if I buy a new Ranger. This baby's been good to me, but we all only live for so long.

I don't know, some of us may live forever. Rad supports are usually weld in. I would splurge and get the welder from www.harborfreight.com. But I have experience in welding them on.

the core support is a weld on.
It is straightforward but possible a bit much for some weekend warriors.

Along with a welder you will need a drill with some balls, a grinder and a wizz wheel.

If you want I can walk you right through the process.
