Well the PO used the lighter so much he wore out the hole for it to the point it was oversized & lighter fell into Dash - Found Aftermarket Lighter with larger Flange - Bezel Assembly slides out after pulling 2 7MM head screws under Radio.

Thanks, that's great to hear it can be fixed. The plastic there is not very strong and I guess it's easy to wear it out.

Same problem here.... fixed by adding O-ring inserted into flange. A little concerned about heat from the lighter, but plastic bezel would not seem much more heat resistant than O-ring. My guess is that the heat deteriorates the bezel....

Others have redone with fiberglass.

No problems here since the O-ring, but I like your repair better.

Well done.

Yeah I tried O Ring first too & it failed - My thought was to use the "reflective ring" on new Liter as reinforcing washer but I wd hv had to thin the Bezel to get it to fit - Thankfully the Liter guts for reflective Ring has bigger flange so it fit well.

Well done,

I tried to find oversized lighter assembly first, but could not find one.

You got it.

Looks good! Easier than replacing the whole assembly.

I replaced the whole assembly yesterday with a junkyard part because the vents where busted loose and all over the place. Pulled stereo head unit switches and put it all back together. Now I got working vents.

Mine was the same way when I bought it. I bought a dual USB port adapter that fits nicely into the hole from the front, plugged the old lighter socket onto it from the back, and super glued the adapter into the hole. I'll post a picture next time I take the truck out.

Lighter with lited Bezel broke too - Hot Water Heater Washers opened up just a tad on BOTH sides of dash - U will have to rip the whole Dash out now..
