Radio displays "no cd"

When I turn the switch on, the CD changer goes through all of the CDs in the cartridge. During this time the radio display shows which CD it's loading (ie. 03 01). Once it finishes identifying the CDs in the cartridge, the radio displays the message "NO CD", and I can't play any of the CDs. I tried disconnecting the negative side of the battery, but nothing changed except for me having to re-enter my favorite stations and the clock time...help. Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. I ended up swapping out the unit. If you want to do this, I suggest doing a search on eBay for one. I always see them listed there.

The actual removal is quite simple. I don't recall any special tools being used, though I will admit someone else did the work and I just watched.

This isn't what I was hoping to hear, since I just received it as an EBay purchase! Anyone else? No offense, but I really don't want to deal with sending it back...
