Lately when I start my car and the music is loud when I am going the radio skips and fades. The music is usually loud. This happened while listening to a burned cd but I have never experienced this problem before and I listen to the cd-r's all the time. I have a Kenwood KDC-7007 deck, a kenwood eq, a sony amp running the kenwood speakers, and a pyramid amp running my two 12in kickers. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ryan,
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to try cleaning it and checking if the cd's are scratched....I play over 30 cd-r in my 2 year old pioneer, and it does fine....With a really scratched cd, sometimes it will skip alot when the music is loud, but then again, I'm running 2 rockford fosgate punch power 12's that hit mid 150db's but like I said, try cleanin it with a cd cleaner and see if it is really scratched.

Maybe your battery needs a little recharging. That's all I can think of. Park and play takes a bit from the radio, and it's even more difficult for the battery to start an engine up if other things are already on. Maybe if your battery had more juice like it originally did, it was okay, but now it has less power available so you're experiencing problems. That's all I can think of is letting your battery get recharged a little.

Is the problem occurring on other CDs as well?

The problem is slowly going away, I think the player was cold and not warmed up. Whenever I park and play the car is always on. I am going to try cleaning the player with a cleaning kit and see what happens.

4wheelin... if it is loud and then just all of a sudden gets quiet it could be in the equalizer. my dad's stock chevy does that, normal players w/ out eq's don't do it. But i know it's not a Cd player in his cause he only has a tape player. I don't really know if that's it, but I thought it could help.
