Stock Radio, Plays for a few sec/mins Then start skiping and Says CD ERR

Its not the cds (there scratchless). I used lense cleaner and nothing. If I pop in a new cd it wil play for maby 30secs-5mins or sometimes for like a half hour but alaws starts skipping and says cd error.

and i dont have a cd changer just stock deck

The culprit here is the lens of the unit and short of dismantling the radio and replacing the assembly it is much easier to replace the unit with an after market. If you must have a factory unit beware from buying them from a bone yard unless it's "fresh in" the junkers are usually left open and the radios are removed agressively. I had the same problem and $130.00 later at Circuit City I had a much nicer radio
