Radio will not turn off

Funny you mention that, as I'm right in the middle of hooking up the Kenwood harness to the Metra harness for a different vehicle.

I do have the 6-disc changer in the center console, but I'm missing the cartridge so I haven't been able to test it yet. If the changer doesn't work, I likely punt on the head unit. The JBL amp/speaker system works and sounds great, so hopefully that can be preserved if swapping stuff out upstream.

A search found others who have had this same problem but no solutions. The on-off switch on my radio does not turn off. If I push in and hold the switch, the radio turns off and the antenna goes down. As soon as I let go, it comes back on. I've been turning the volume all the way down when I'm not using the radio, but the antenna stays up.

Has anyone tried to fix this problem? I'm thinking about pulling the head apart and see if I can adjust the switch. Thanks for any help.
