I have a 1994 Explorer and while trying to remove the nut on the passenger side radius arm (so I can replace the radius arm bushings) I twisted the threaded part of the radius arm off; the nut would not budge. So now I'm in need of a radius arm. Does anyone have a 1991-1994 Explorer that they're parting out that is willing to sell me a passenger radius arm? I'd even settle for someone cutting off about 6-10 inches up the arm (behind the bushings) so I could weld it on my radius arm. I'd rather have the entire arm, but it can be difficult to get off if the bolts are frozen, which is why I'd settle for just cutting the end of it off. I have a welder and I can weld it on my arm.

I have a picture I can provide of my radius arm for reference, but I can't figure out how to attach it to this post. I can e-mail it to you if you want to see what I'm referring to....Let me know what you have. Thanks...

Well I'll have one available at the end of November, but I'm guessing you probably can't wait that long.

Do you have any junk yards around you? They are bound to have first gen Explorers in their yard. You could even get one off of a Ranger with the same front axle.

If it were me I would not weld two halfs together. Seems like it would be weaker than a radius arm that is one whole piece.

I'd post in the Parts Wanted section, and also look through the Parts For Sale section to see if somebody has one for sale. Assuming you didn't already do that...

Yes, I have some junk yards I can check, but since this just happened tonight I haven't had a chance to do that yet. I thought I'd get the word out on the internet first.

You're right, I'd rather not cut and weld it together, but if I can't find someone to sell me the entire arm, I might have to settle for that. Not my first choice though.

I actually need it now, but if I can't find one by the time you have one available, I'll contact you. Just out of curiosity, how much would you sell it for?
