Has anyone used Rain-X® Windshield Wax? Opinions? Is it as great as the regular?

Thanks....

I don't know about the Rain-X "wax," but I use the regular old Rain-X stuff on all my windows after every wash. After I put it on I don't have to use my wipers at all when it rains, well at least for a couple of weeks. The water just blows right off thw widshield. Great stuff!

I will second that, the only time you see the rain is when you go under a street light. Its great for driving out in the booneys

Ditto on the regular Rain-X. Great stuff. It works great the winter too. I use it on all my windows and mirrors, and it make it a lot easier to scrape ice off. The ice doesn't stick to the glass nearly as much with the Rain-X on.

Rain-x wax is NOT a new product, I remember using it on my 98 F-150 back in 1998. It's been around for a long time. I used it once and stuck it on the shelf, the wax is utterly useless.
I found meguiars to bead better then rain-x did, and the shine I got from rain-x was unimpressive to say the least.
Hell, if its still on my shelf your welcome to it! I may have tossed it in the trash since then.
If I'm going to spend all day waxing my truck its going to last longer then a week and people had better be impressed by the shine, which the rain-x wax didn't do either of.
WHOOPS! Just noticed you were talking about the windshield wax, not the regular rain-x wax. Not sure about that! :).

Matt, maybe you should e mail/call Rain X and tell them to remove it from their new products page.

Does Meguiars make a Rain X type product?

I have never seen either in all my years of being a car nut.

al, read the end of my post... I realized you weren't talking about the regular wax and were talking about the windshield wax instead :).

Sorry, Matt, I just didn't see/read that part. I reckon the terminal dumb ass has set in on me.
