Okay I have done some extensive searching and not found any direct feedback so I am posting this in hopes of getting some. As many here know I have been battling numerous clunking and rattling problems ... They have been eliminated except for one and I think I have finally found the cause ...

I have a 2" TT up front and am running the Rancho 9000 part number 99229 and according to the Rancho site their full extended length is 18 inches.

After replacing tightening and retightening everything I began to explore the possibility that something was up with my shocks. First I set them to 1 clunking present on certain bumps and divets ... move them to 9 and not so clunky but still present ... only problem is that on 9 they ride like a brick ...

So I consulted the tailor tape measure and found that when I measure from the top of the shock just below the lower to the bottom of my shock it measure 17.7 inches ... leaving me just .3 inches of downtravel ...

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to solve it

I have seen mentioned shock extenders only prob is no one local seems to have em...

Also saw using washers as a spacer for about .5 inches but that seems like it wouldn't do much ...

Also saw OME shocks mention but would rather not buy another set as these are only about 4K old ...

Longer Ranchos are out because I am AWD and would hit the cv boots...

I think I am gonna pull the shocks tommorow and see what noises it make without em in ... if any at all

TIA
