im sure youve seen my recent post "i need serious help" from when i got stuck for a few days in NC. anyways, my 4wd died, and so did my tires. on the way home they fell apart. i didnt have much money, and still dont, so i had the guy at goodyear give me the smallest tire he could, for the cheapest. i think i have 225/75/15's on there now, which looks pretty rediclous with a lift. now on to my question. can i safely run my rancho 9000's (99229 and 99185) at stock height? id prefer to run them with the tt drop, but not sure if that's safe. any insight would be awesome.

are these shocks for lowered or lifted?

if the suspention was not changed then you have nothing to worry about

im not sure if those are the ones they recommend for stock explorer's. i used them with my current tt/shackle lift. i think they're longer than stock. im unsure if they will be fine with it lowered about 4 more inches with the tt/block drop.

If they're longer than stock they won't work well with the truck lowered. Even if they don't bottom out, they'll be working outside their optimal static position.

should be fine for now just set em real stiff so you do not bottom out and possibly break the mounts

hrmf, not what i wanted to hear, but thanks guys
