I just installed the Rancho RSX's on my X and wanted to let ya'll know about them if your considering.

Installation is a breeze "there shocks", except for one hitch. Installing the boots on the rear shocks! With the boot not having a split at the narrow end they are a bit tricky to getting on. I was going to try slipping them from the bottom up but found out quickly that was just not going to work. So, I took some dish soap and watered it down a bit and lubed the inside of the boot. Making sure the first end of the boot on the shock will be the correct orientation in reference to the shock, slip it on the top of the shock at an angle. Then rib by rib stretch it over the top mount. Take your time, and be careful not to tare. Sorry no pics. I painted mine anadized blue before installing.

As far as the performance of the shocks....Wow, a huge improvment over the stock ones. Firm ride but not stiff, and gives a feel of control even at high speeds on pot holed roads. I highly recommend, and for $70 a piece w/boots as well as lifetime garrantee you can't beat IMO.

The boots were terrible, I thought too. Never figured that into how long I was planning on doing the job. $70 a piece seems a little pricey for the RSX, you might even be able to find some RS9000s for that much. Mine were $204 out the door.
