I'm looking to correct body roll on my Explorer. I've heard opinions on the Edlebrock IAS's and the Monroe Reflex's. Does anyone have an opinion on the Rancho RSX's? The Edlebrocks are overpriced and I'd rather put a Rancho on my truck, unless I find they aren't a good shock. The technology of the RSX looks the same as the Monroe Reflex. Any opinions either way would be a great help. Thx.

Alright, alright, I guess these shocks suck so bad no one even owns them! Up here for two days and no one will even get on here and say they suck. I have trouble spending $70 on shocks, so I bought the Monroe Reflex's for $37 at rockauto.com. I've read enough support elsewhere to at least know they don't suck for those of us that are mostly stock & just looking for vehicle to get us through when we get lost.

I have Monroe Reflex on my Explorer. I like them alot.

Any comments on whether the Reflex shocks help to reduce nose dive during braking (like the Edelbrock IAS advertises)???

rpr; From what the majority of the members on this site seem to propose.... any quality, well made, aftermarket shock will suit the vehicle better than the factory stock ones. This seems to be a resounding consensus. Do a search on almost any reputable brand and it should reflect this. Do not get me wrong, this is not from personal experience, as that I too am shopping for shocks. But I have done a ton of research on this site. Good Luck.

Edlebrock IAS SUCK - Ive had for a year and it rides horribly bounces stiff even on small bumps rides too stiff period.

RSX

The Ranchos that I have lost their firmness after six months and one of them broke also. I would not recommend them to anyone. Good thing you went to Monroes.

Somewhere I read that the Monroes were rebadged Ranchos though... Hopefully improved by the time you got them. I bought them way back when they first came out.
