Ranger AC Question

I'm a little confused on the exact location of the A/C Orifice Tube on my 97 ranger. Is it inline between the compressor and the condenser, or inline between the condenser and the evaporator? About a year ago my son & I replaced what we thought was an O/T between the compressor and the condenser. We just charged the system getting ready for the Vegas summer and after a little research we're not sure we did the right thing. The A/C works good. Thanks for any help you can give.

I think that if this thread would be in the A/C section it will get more responses. It's also late at night on the east coast, so not too many people are on at this time except for the California crowd (not that there is anything wrong with that side of the US).

...You do have the 4.0L engine, correct???...I believe the Explorer/ranger locations to be the same....If you need pics from a ranger I'll go pop my hood...

Thanks for the reply's. I forgot to say it's the 3.0 engine. I'll try a repost in the A/C area. Sorry to bother you so late.

..The search button will be of great help while you are waiting for replies...Also, Mountaineer Green on here has the 3.0L too, he may be able to show you where his is located...If I find something that shows the 3.0L being in a different location from the link I posted for you, I will let you know..
