will trailmaster shocks for a '98-'00 ranger fit a '00 explorer sport?

If the Ranger is a 4WD, then the front ones will fit. I don't believe the rear shocks will fit in any case.

crap. alright, thanks.

i have the ranger kit and the shocks swapped over fine -- but the sport might be a problem - i'm not sure.

If I remember correctly, the fronts are the same, the rears, while they have the same dimensions, are valved differently and have different part numbers. They may bolt-up, but I suspect the ride of the Ranger shocks will be too soft for the Exploders.

alright, thanks. was looking at a 3" BL with new shocks, just wanted to see if it would work.

shocks are shocks. they should be the same, except for the rear (ranger has longer ones)

oh and some v8 sploders have CRAZY wierd shocks in the rear

so basically what you're telling me is they will not work...

if you have a very strange looking setup in the rear where the shock mounts are on the leaf perch deals, then yeah they probaly wont work, for the rear atlest. the fronts might... i dont know much abouty the TTF  work on both. but an easy fix and a good fix is to weld on new shock tabs on the rear axle (what i did.) ford wasnt thinking very much when they designed the rear suspension..

sounds reasonable, but what about the ride? is GIJOE right about it being too soft? definately dont want a mushy ride.
