I finally tracked down where most of the interior rattling is coming from, and it seems the main source is driver's side rear plastic panel (the one that covers from the rear hatch to the back of the rear door). Can you guys tell me how it's fastened and offer any tips on removing it? Any improved way of securing it? Thanks in advance!

I've not known this panel to rattle. Fits fairly snug even when not attached properly. You could pull it to see what it is exactly.
Also, have someone sit back there while driving (on a closed course with professionals of course) while driving. Have them Press on it in different areas until the noise goes away.

Yep, that is the plan. I just didn't want to break it trying to remove it by not knowing how it's attached. I'm sure I can figure it out, but if you can offer some advice on attachment points/screws/clips etc., it would be appreciated.

Small dabs of clear RTV silicone on inner panel contact points works wonders for rattles.

Well, if you are referring to the quarter panel piece, it pretty much pulls right off. Trim piece that covers end of headliner at hatch, lower trim piece at carpet end at hatch, and D pillar (rear most pillar, drivers side) pieces need to pop off. You can pull it back to look inside. To remove it, you have to taken the bottom seat belt mount off. It's a T45 or something.

The only trim piece I've found to be tricky is the upper one. The tabs want to break if yanked at an angle.

All pieces come off with mild force. Kinda force that makes you feel like you might break something.

Thank you very much! Just didn't want to start yanking on it if there were hidden screws and such I didn't see. I don't think I'll have time to mess with it until the weekend, but it will be nice to get rid of the noise.

Do you have rear ac? Again, don't know what would be making the noise. Seat belt related maybe? I'd def have someone try to pinpoint before removing panels.

No rear A/C. It's the panel itself. It's loose and rattles. I can move it in an out and duplicate the rattling noise I hear while driving.
