My Amsoil showed up today!!
I bought a 2001 Limited v8 a couple of weeks ago with 100k miles on it. I plan on keeping it a long time, and getting better gas mileage, so i'm switching it over to Amsoil.
Its like x-mas for my Explorer!

That all looks familiar (did the same thing to my '99 when I got it). :)

I'm running their tranny fluid in my Nissan. Switched it over with 30K miles on the car. I'm at 175,000 now with nothing more then drain and fills every year. Their tranny fluid is good stuff. However, I ran their motor oil for an extended period as advertised and then had it analysed by Blackstone labs and it came back horrable!

My conclusion was to keep the Amsoil ATF but switch back to Castrol GTX.
My lab reports always came back clean with the GTX in the crankcase!

I'm not worried about the quality of Amsoil...Draining the old oil right now :)

Wow, that's about a $400 picture??

Yes, around $400 in the pic. I didn't show all of it so around $450 total.

The pre-oiler is something that i would like to do. Thanks for the installation link.
