i socked away a little extra cash, and i found someone to buy my 30"s off me for 400 bucks. i will be back on my stock wheels for a bit until i decide what tire to get. so to all my ef'ers out there, what are your best suggestions for some 32's? i am looking for not only tire brand but also any info on where the best deal to get them at, either at a shop or online. pros and cons, all that. i would prefer some muds but will go for some AT's if they look cool. also, things to watch out for, any special online deals you have seen, and any other specifics.

i have found 32's online for as cheap as 132.00 per tire, so id like to spend between 132 and 160 bucks per tire, i dont mind getting tires on the cheaper side being that i dont do any hardcore roading and i also have to get some shackles and an alignment after i do the TT. any help, info advice and suggestions would be awesome!

I'd go for either GoodYear DuraTrac's or General Grabber AT2's. I'll look up some sites and prices and see what I can find.

I swear by BFG A/Ts. They are bit hard but good traction and they seem to last a while, longer then my goodyear a/t with silent armor. I do beat up my tires a few times a year with offroading and towing. I figure why buy a cheap set twice when you can get a good set once. And I belive BFG has a tread wear warrenty of 50K on their A/Ts.

Sorry man, been out at car shows. I'll check out snow sites to see what I can find when I get home in about an hour.

Man, if only you could bump up to a 33x12.50x15 tire instead of a 32x11.150x15 you could get tires soooo much cheaper.

32's are about $30-40 more a tire then the same tiree in a 33" from what I'm finding.

Alot of Jeepers and stock height guys run the 32's so their more in demand then the 33's are. Damn

I got my 33x12.50x15 DuraTrac's for $146 a tire form the loacl GoodYear dealer, I found the tire online for $159 and asked if they could beat that price. Being one of their tires no ones gonna beat their price so he took off another $13 a tire from the cheapest price I could find out there.

holy smokes, i would love some duratracs for 146 locally. i might just check to see if theres a goodyear dealer anywhere near i live. i was thinking about 33's, but im only doing a war 153 shackle and TT and i dont want to trim the hell out of my wells.

Don't worry about the wheelwells, you can't even notice what's been cut away unless you know about it. Even then it's not bad. You can do a 3" TT on the front and shackles and get away with 33's, I've seen guys do it. Were you ever gonna do a BL, if so it makes working on the Trac alot easier and you gain alot of approach angle clearance too. Just saying. I'd look into either lift keys or lift spindles for the front and not even mess with trying to get 2-3" TT out of the factory bolts cause I doubt you'll have enough thread to acheive it. Just some things to ponder over, save money in the long run this way.

good stuff rebel, thanks. i found a goodyear tire shop that i never even noticed was there just a few miles from my house, im going to call them up monday morning and see what their prices are on duratracs. i still would prefer to run 32's and just crank up my torsion bolts. but if i can find duratrac 33's for 146 per tire i think i will do the trimming neccesary to run them. i dont really want to do the body lift since my st is just a locked 2wd and used mainly as my DD, camping, sports and fishing rig. someone is actually offering me 2 grand plus a 98 jgc that has a couple leaks in it for my old rodeo so i think thats where my eventual bodylift money will go. thanks rebel for all the info. once again, you da man!

I was going to recommend BFG A/T's, had a set of 32's, sold them and now have 33's. They are a good all around tire, not for mud though, and the cost went thru the roof. But Duratrac's at $146 is a Steal!!

im going to call this local goodyear tire place i found today. hopefully they have duratracs for under 150. ill let you fellas know what i find.

last one for the morning fellas. these arent 32"s or 33"s but they have me intrigued. i love the tread pattern on these, and they are pretty cheap. what does 75 equate to in inches? does it look more like a 30" or a 31"? i have 30"s now and im trying to get a little height, would it be counter productive to look into these being that i would like to get to at least 32 inches?

The Geo's are out for what you do, great street tires but wouldn't make it on trails. Sunlike are good but will wear out fairly quick since it's your DD. The Coopers ae great on and off road tires. The last tire size is about the same as what you have now, I have that size in a Cooper AT2 on my wife's DD V8 AWD '97 Mountaineer. With tires going from a 30" to a 32" you're only gaining an inch out height. Tires are the only "true ground clearance your gonna get for everything but in order to fit taller tires you need to lift the suspension and or body to fit them. Check out Treadepot.com, that's where I found the DuraTrac's for $159, then told the GY dealer I found them for that price do the beat it.

good stuff rebel, im going to check out that site right now. the goodyear spot opens up in about 45 minutes here on the west coast. im going to do exactly what you just said you did and see if i can spring a deal.
