Hi all, wondered if anyone on here knows how much travel from lowest to highest point , these shocks have ? only mine don't appear to be leaking but I get about an inch of travel when compressor pumps air in, but if I push up the car from underneath they lift a further 2inches or so and the compressor will keep running then I stop pushing and they sag back down , the shocks do look old so I'm assuming there shot, but just making sure as there bloody expensive here in the uk, cheers for any info, jim

My Explorer goes up a lot more than one inch measuring from the tire to the fender. I can't check right now for you since my Explorer is currently in pieces, but I would guess 3 - 4 inches total... It's a 1998 with all four air shocks if that makes a difference.

1995 Ford explorer had the same problem back in 2009 and I replaced the leaf springs and shackles and now it is able to move about 4" depending on if there is a load or not in the back of the truck.
