I was looking at my car this morning and noticed that one of the rear tires seems to be pushed in more than the one on the other side. Any ideas what could cause this and can I fix this? It's the drivers aide rear tire that is pushed in more. It doesn't even align w the front drivers side tire

Thank u very much

I think you have to take a pic so people know what you mean by pushed in.. There is nowhere for the axle to go, if it is pushed in that means you lost the ring and if you lost the retainer clip the axle could fall out. I doubt that is your case. There is some play in the axles, about 5mm.

I will post some pics tomorrow. The left rear wheel seems to be more tucked in under the fender well compared to the right rear tire.

That could be a lot of things. Maybe a different tire size or bad body. My ex looks slightly warped from the back because the previous owner had an accident. I would be looking at the important things like play in the axle and measurement and comparison of the other side, and of course the obvious would be to jack it up and see if there is movement.

the second picture is the one that is more tucked in the fender well. the top is the passenger rear tire. I noticed that the drivers side rear shackle needs to be replaced since it is cracking due to rust on one side. i had replaced the passenger shackle about a month ago. would that be the cause?
