Rear Door Removal?

Anyone know how to remove the doors? Whats the easiest way to take the doors off when i got to the salvage yard

oh, and whats the point of a $2 core for the doors? Its not worth the gas to drive back for $2

Rear doors are easyer. ( I know )

Pull the harness out. Label your connectors first and use a magic marker to trace the path of the wires so you don't have to guess when putting them back on.

Remove the door check. I really can't recall of hand is the Explorers have checks on the rear doors. At any rate if you don't have them you don't need to remove them.

Now shut the door. Open the front you can now go straight into the bolts that go into the door.
The bolts are 13mm. Go from the bottom to the top.
once all the bolts are out, grab the door and the handle and " open " the door. Just walk away with it.
It might be a bit heavier than you think so be careful.


Instal the " new " door the same way. Latch it in place bolt it up ( alinging the paint marks speeds alignment.
Make sure it opens and closes smoothly. You are all set.
