rear drive side door lock

This is my first post here. I have a 99 Explorer XLT. the rear driver side door lock works fine when i manually raise and lower the lock, but when using the key fob or the switch on the driver door it doesn't always work. i hear a noise and see the pin coming up or down some. occasionally it will work after trying several times. any ideas what to check?

does it work with the normal electric locks?

it sounds like you're going to have to pull the door panel and either replace the actuator or inspect and reattach the mechanism

you mean the lock switch on the driver's door? if so, it does the same thing with that.
