REAR HATCH BROKEN

My rear hatch seems to be jammed shut. I tried to turn the lever that pops the trunk open and it appears i turned the whole lock inside of the door. the lever is now stuck vertically and cannot be turned either way? this was a big pain in the ass because it happened during a camping trip where i had to haul a bunch of stuff in the trunk. Any ideas?

You are going to have to acsess the lock from inside. Crawl into the back, and take off the plastic panel.

You should be able to spin the lock back into position enough to unlock the door, then take a look while it is open to see what holds the lock or what broke.
