Rear heat/cooler vents

ive had a problem with my heating.cooler system in the rear of the car...they only seam to work on level 4 (high)...from the front controls and rear passenger controls but they just go straight to off on 1-3..had my husband look at it and he has no idea what the problem is...all connections are good and no corrosion visable...any body have any ideas?.

Sounds like the motor blower resistor has gone toes up. Common part failure. The resistor is near the rear blower unit behind the rear drivers interior quarter panel. I purchased one last year for about 23 bucks at Checker's autoparts.
