Is it possible to put a rear locker on a 98 V8 AWD. im so sick of having my tires constantly spinning in the mud. Of course that might have something to do with the kind of tires but i would be interested in getting more traction and maybe one day i could afford some tires. by the way how much would it cost for a locker and to install it ? thanx

yeah i know. im at school and im takin a break from studyin for cost accounting.. sorry man

Tires are going to be cheaper. A Powertrax is going to run around $400.00 plus labor.

you think it would be cheaper.. cool...now its a hard desicion on what tires to get. i definetely dont have the money to put a lift in but i was thinkin of gettin just a set of cheap black rims and then put some nice tires on it. any suggestions. i want somethin i can go muddin in not rockcrawlin

Are you wanting to use your factory wheels for winter? If not why not use them to save some money. I would recomend either BFG Mud Terrains or Sport King Mud Terrain. The sport kings are made by B.F. Goodrich and will we cheaper. Dulop Mud rovers would also be a good choice. As to size I would recomend 30X9.50X15's to play safe

well the thing is i drive a lot of highway miles so i was thinkin that i could use the mud tires durin mud season (around spring up here in vt) and my pirellis as a street tire during the summer and winter

In that case a cheap steel wheel sould run $35-$40.
Summit Racing has the U.S. wheel 84 series for $35.95 for a 15X7(looks like a NASCAR wheel). Or you could go the U.S. Wheel 70 series white spoke for $25.95 for a 15X7.
