Rear power outlet 2023 interceptor utility hybrid

For work I have a 2023 interceptor utility hybrid. When they outfitted my car with the lights and what not they left me only one power outlet up front. I'm planning on using it with an extension cord to power my laptop in the front of the vehicle. Does anyone know if the outlet stays on all the time? If it does what can I do to make it only on when vehicle is on as I don't want it draining my battery when not in use.

Meant to say the extension is going to be plugged into the outlet near the rear lift gate of the vehicle.
