rear rocker panel rust

im sure this has been asked 1000+ times but i will do it again..

I have... no, I am MISSING,,, about 5-6 inches of my rear rocker panels, both sides...

is there a cover for this problem.. like a plastic cover of sorts or do i have to replace the panels period?

There are plastic trim covers available. I am told that they are no longer manufactured. You may find them on ebay. I have a similar problem. I am going to cut out the rusted section and replace it with a rocker panel from a parts truck. If you do cover the arrected area, you still need to stop the rust or it will continue to spread.
