Rear Shocks

Come to find out my rear shock has had a broken upper bolt for the past month and is the reason ive been hearing a booming sound in my rear end when going over bumps. how easy of a fix is it? and is it safe to drive with it hanging there? i took the spare tire off so it shouldnt rub the body anymore.

It looks like the shock is fine, the bolts just snapped (maybe the shocks aren't long enough??). Spend a dollar or two and buy 2 new bolts and reattach that thing. You really shouldn't be driving it around until you do.
